Redi-Kits® are survival kits especially designed and tested for Australian conditions and are designed to be used for emergency evacuation scenarios. They can also be used for camping and even for taking on road-trips as emergency supplies. They have been designed to be complete yet lightweight and all you need to add is your own clothing and other personal items such as medication (if required) and cash.
Emergency response agencies typically take up to 3 days (72 hours) to mobilise during a large-scale event.
All 72-Hour Redi-Kits® have items in the following categories:
o Container – typically a backpack but we also have a trolley as an option.
o Clothing – generic items such as a hat and gloves that will fit everybody. You will need to add your own emergency clothing.
o Communication – a range of items for keeping in touch with the authorities and others during an emergency. We also include emergency AM/FM radio frequencies for your area and information on signalling using Morse Code.
o Cooking – items for preparing meals.
o First Aid – a range of important first aid items with a First Aid booklet.
o Food – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner for three days, plus snacks and drinks. These are vacuum-packed for longer-lasting freshness.
o Lighting – a range of alternative light sources.
o Miscellaneous – a range of additional useful items including a waterproof document holder for copies of your important documents.
o Personal Hygiene – a range of items to assist in maintaining personal hygiene.
o Utensils – for your meals.
